LICENCE AGREEMENT ================= This Agreement defines the terms and conditions under which the binary version of the Corpus of the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences ('the IPI PAN Corpus' and 'the ICS PAS', respectively) is made available to the end user ('the User'). USER'S RIGHTS 1. The rights defined herein shall be granted to a User who agrees to accept all terms, conditions, bans and orders contained herein. A User who installs the IPI PAN Corpus on a hard disk of a computer or redistributes the IPI PAN Corpus shall be deemed to have accepted this Licence. 2. Under this Licence, the User shall receive the right to install the IPI PAN Corpus on any number of computers and to use the above for any purposes, provided the corpus is accessed solely through Poliqarp, a dedicated search engine developed at ICS PAS and available on the GNU General Public Licence, version 2, from http://korpus.pl/. 3. Conversion of the binary format of the IPI PAN Corpus or any part thereof to another format is prohibited. 4. The IPI PAN Corpus may be circulated in any media, free of charge, subject to the following conditions: a. Copies circulated in such manner must be identical with the original versions of the IPI PAN Corpus circulated by the ICS PAS, and shall include the information about the developers of the IPI PAN Corpus and their copyrights, and, in particular, it shall also include this Licence. b. The IPI PAN Corpus shall be made available in the binary format and may not be redistributed in any other format. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY 5. Although the ICS PAS has taken all reasonable efforts to ensure that the IPI PAN Corpus is free of any defects, under no circumstances shall the ICS PAS be liable for any loss of data, losses resulting from any exchange or repair of assets, or for any other direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the IPI PAN Corpus. NO WARRANTY CLAUSE 6. The IPI PAN Corpus is provided 'as is'. The ICS PAS does not warranty that the IPI PAN Corpus shall meet the User's requirements. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS 7. This Licence is the sole and exclusive document asserting the User's rights to install and use the IPI PAN Corpus. It shall supersede any other proposals or agreements, whether oral or written, between the User and the ICS PAS regarding the subject-matter hereof. 8. Matters not provided for herein shall be regulated by the applicable provisions of the Polish law.
